As a habit and a policy, I refrain from commenting upon my workplace on the blog.

This coming Thursday, October 24, 2019, I’ll be moderating “Jedi & Jesuits,” a discussion exploring the Star Wars films and their mythological and religious underpinnings.

The original Star Wars trilogy lit my imagination afire as a child and revealed to me worlds of wonder and mystery. Whenever I hear a snippet of the film score, an electric thrill courses through my body. I remember my first encounter with Star Wars and I experience it anew.

Now I get talk about Star Wars at work.

Not a bad gig.
